rumi sonqo hostel exceeded my expectations. the cozy rooms and incredible location next to the ruins made my stay unforgettable. the friendly owner, who speaks english, gave us invaluable tips. i highly recommend this place.

Language barrier with staff.

The location was great, with easy access to the main attractions and train station. the shower had plenty of warm water, which was a nice surprise.

The staff seemed uninterested in having guests and rarely made an appearance. Communication was a major issue as they didn't speak English, making it difficult to get any assistance or information during my stay.

Great value for money with comfortable rooms and good beds at Rumi Sonqo. Convenient location, just a short walk to the train station, making it easy to explore Machu Picchu. The staff, including the owner and her children, were extremely helpful and tried their best to assist us with train information.

Morning meal could be improved with more variety or options.

Hot water and fast wifi were a pleasant surprise, especially considering the location. The warmth of the beds and rooms added to the cozy atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, from providing helpful information about nearby attractions to offering assistance with transportation arrangements.

It would have been helpful to have more hooks and hangers for clothes storage in the room. On fiesta nights, the noise from the nearby town square could be a bit disruptive, but that's to be expected when staying in the heart of the action.
